About U.S. Copyright Registry
The U.S. Copyright REGISTRY is a service organization
with a mission to prevent copyright infringement by notifying the public of the
importance of copyright registration. The U.S. Copyright Registry facilitates in the registration of copyright for websites that have original content as well
as all other forms of copyrightable works through submission to the Library Of Congress.
The U.S. Copyright Registry handles the entire
process of registering copyright for website owners from filing the application
and paying all necessary filing fees as well as depositing and submitting copies
of the work to the copyright office. All government forms are reviewed extensively
using our automated system for accuracy, completeness and common errors. All
registration is administered by the U.S. Copyright Office of the Library of Congress.
Copyright registration will protect your web content, writings, artwork, and even
photographs. Registrants will receive a certificate of registration upon successful
registration. The term of registration is life Plus 70 years: In the
U.S., copyright subsists from creation and lasts the entire life of the author plus
an additional 70 years after the author’s death. However, if the author is
NOT a natural person, then copyright endures 95 years from publication or 120 years
from creation, whichever expires first.
